Joe alias Gio della Spada is the founder and owner of Rare and Vintage.
Born and raised in Bonn, Germany’s former capital, he as a child and his father traveled to remote places in Northern Europe, Africa and North America.
With an adventurous wealth of experience, the basics of everyday survival and masterly in hunting and fishing he left his parental home at the age of 14 and looked for his personal and professional happiness all over Europe. After several successful professional positions in military weapons and precision technology, he turned his back on bourgeois life full of scrupless and retired to the Northern Italian mountains.
As a hunter, lumberjack and farmer he spent 12 years in (what he says) the most lovable country in Europe. The “waves of love washed him back” to Northern Europe at the end of the 90s.
As an approved rocket scientist in the European Space Business he tries today to soothe his eternal wanderlust with occasional missions to South America.
He lives in Bremen with his family, friends, a dog and a horse.
